VINEYARD
Fruit sourced from Vinci near Empoli. Vineyard about 12 years of age and south-west facing.
WINEMAKING
Two ferments. 100% whole bunch (carbonic maceration) and the other 100% de-stemmed fruit. 9 days on skins then pressed to cement vats for malolactic fermentation where it remained for a further 8 months prior to bottling.
TASTING
Dark ruby red in colour, the palate shows dark cherry and earthy elements. Classic ‘al dente’ tannins and savoury finish. A beautiful wine, anytime of the year.
