VINEYARD
The vineyard is located in San Martino al Tagliamento near Pordenone. Vineyards are now 28 years old. Judicious cropping in a marginal climate allows optimum ripeness to be achieved.
WINEMAKING
Fruit is crushed to press where it soaks in the press for 8 hours without draining. Complete oxidative handling. Juice is pressed out where it settles naturally for 48 hours and then is racked to ferment. Maturation on lees post ferment for approximately 34 weeks before bottling
TASTING
Light straw in colour. Quite a lifted floral and spicy nose with a cool alpine feel. Palate is textured with fine phenolic grip giving the palate the framework for flavours of pear, green melon and just ripe nectarine.
WINE REVIEWS
Gee, they’ve done very well here. Green melon, pear, cut fennel. Cool feel, a subtle raw almond flavour, fine chalk dust texture, a smattering of perfumed green herb, and a long and lightly grippy finish. Top shelf. Drink to 2024.
